We thought we would kick off 2022 with a reading challenge to keep you reading throughout the year. This will prompt you to explore new genres and authors.

This is how it will work: 

All you have to do is purchase a book from us in each of the monthly assigned categories for 2022. We will track your purchases on a challenge card kept at the shop. Folks with completed cards at the end of the year will receive bookish prizes. And yes, you can participate from afar. 

Check out the challenge category on our online store for some recommendations, many more available in-store and we are happy to special order something for you.

February - A book by a Kiwi author

March - A book from an indie press

April - A book that has a colour in the title

May - A book of poetry

June - An LGBTQ+ memoir or novel

July - A translated novel

August - A graphic novel

September - A book about Aotearoa

October - Something to help your wellbeing

November - Judge a book by it’s cover

December - Anything you want!
